Darling Little Knits

For Waldorf dolls.

I’ve admired the “Darling” patterns from Ashley Darling  for quite some time & finally purchased them over the weekend.

The Darling  Little Kimono

Using Dashing Dachs “Horsie”

(I think… I’m so bad about keeping the wrappers)

and a button from Ayarina’s Button shop

This is a fun color which is actually very gender neutral.  Pair this with a simple spreen green or sky blue skirt and you would have an adorable outfit for any little doll.

And a Darling Little Sweater Dress

Using Micsknitz “Alice In Wonderland” twist & coordinating trim

These should be listed to the shop this afternoon. I plan to have a few of her Darling Little Rompers & shoes listed in the near future.

These are to fit a 14-16 inch doll.

While there has been very little blogging there has been knitting.

The Ravellenic Challenge ended with the Olympics and while I did not meet all of my personal goals I did medal in a few….I think I ended up with 8 total.

Waiting for buttons and the ends to be woven in is a pair of  Dakine Knits  “My Keiki Overalls”. which I modified to convertible legs. Rooting through the button box now…

On the needles now.. Longies using a new color from Raya of Blissful Knits called

“Pegasus”

I’ve a few more inches left to go on the legs. 

Unblocked they are measuring 20 hip and 18 rise and up for grabs. 

Fluffy mail which arrived yesterday

“Citron” on twist, another yummy color of Raya’s, ordered for a custom.

Kimono is just wanted to live here so it is available for custom.

Whew, I know I’ve left quite a few things out. 

The sweaters are completed and simply need buttons, there was more fluffy mail Mosaic Moon scraps for waldorf doll clothing, we’ve been working on shelving & storage space for the work room.  Drove to Indianapolis to visit family and the State Fair…I will be entering knits next year…

Leggings In The Mail!

Simple, bright and colorful leggings using the Aloha Flirty Skirty pattern from Dakine Knits (sans the skirt of course) in the mail and on the way to a little dark headed sweetie.

Packaged and ready to ship is another pair of beachcombers.  Nice wide legs that will come in handy for a little lady wearing a cast.

On the needles now is another pair of beachcombers. 

These are a YYMN using Shasta Daisy Knits “Spring Garden”.  This photo was taken last night and I’ve just an inch to go before the cuffs.  They should be ready to mail tomorrow

Next up is a Waldorf doll wardrobe.  I’ve been saving the Mama’s YYMN scrap’s and it’s time to put them to good use!

Yesterday I had 2 shipments of fluffy mail!

Some Blissful Knits, Wildflower Whimsy and a few other squishy skeins.

I’ll have photo’s up in the next day or so. 

The horrible heat is letting up a bit so knitting will thankfully be a bit more productive. I should be caught up by the end of next week.

Another pair of  YYMN convertible longies.  This time I used Harrisons’s Hand dyed BFL DK (double stranded) for another pair of night time super soakers. 

I need to pick up buttons for the legs today and then they will be on the way

Whew! I need to update the knit meter after this past week..better yet,  Time to find the table top!

Goodies In The Mail!

I had a very productive day, crazy busy & fun day but most importantly productive.  I ran all over the county finishing last minute shopping & came home worn out …ready to prop my feet up for a bit & have a fresh cup of coffee. And realized I forgot to check the mail.  So while a fresh pot was brewing I hoofed it down to the mail box…(cause I’m a sucker for Christmas cards, I just love them) anyways, the walk was more than worth it…look what I found!

I found her shop about a year ago & have been very satisfied with each and every purchase. I’ve gotten to the point I’ll just send her a photo of a colorway and say “I need buttons”…giving her the count and size needed & never been disappointed.

Now, if I can only remember which projects these go to or, if they were “just because they are so darn cute “ kinda purchase.

There are a few things on the needles. ….

I’m not specifically working on customs until after the holiday but, when I find myself with a million and one things on the “to-do” list & need to settle my mind….I knit.  Maybe only a few rows but for me it’s calming.

So, this evening I started longies for Alix, smalls that are working up quickly.

They will match the SMSS Kimono I made a few days before she was born.

I should have them done in the morning & I’ll post photo’s of the set.

Another test knit for Dakine Knits, stripped leggings with a skirty  The “leggings” portion is nearly done and I’ll start the skirt tomorrow afternoon.

And Larry was out of town on a business trip last night so I stayed up late knitting.  I’m not sure about you, but neither of us sleep well when the other isn’t there so, I though I’d start on family holiday knits……only when I looked at my mile long queue on Ravelry I couldn’t decide what to start.

  I ended up grabbing some stash yarn Micsknitz “Talia” and started

what else Longies for the poor neglected Etsy shop! 

Time for me to toddle off to bed as tomorrow is another busy day.

Also ready for the mail “Peace Please Longies”

Hand knit with “Peace fleece”. 

It often feels like a brillo pad when you first start knitting with it but softens as its handled.  When laundered it blooms and after a few washes will become cottony soft and wears like cast iron….sturdy enough for active toddlers

 

A few more customs are in the works and at least 2 should be completed this week.
