Easy Access Romper Pattern Release!

Raya at Blissful Knits has a fun new romper pattern which I was fortunate enough to test knit.

The bodice & neck are ribbed for a trim fit, collar, arm & leg options…..truly an all season romper!

Overalls, Overalls & MORE Overalls!

First Up!

Custom Scrappy Bayside Britches with a modified bib.  Toddler size soon to be on the way to a happy Mama. 

Happy Me also!  I was able to clear out a TON of scraps…..nearly all I thought until I found another bag stashed.  But, that’s ok, this fall I’ll add length to the legs if the Mama chooses.

Next up, Keiki Overalls test knit using Stitches Under the Sun colorway “Watercolors” on BFL. Tessa Ann buttons as accent.                                                                         This was such a fun pattern and I LOVE the way these are made.  The straps are double for a nice sturdy strap, there are hip button to adjust for chunky monkey’s.  Just the true denim overall feel!

Boy”ish” Bayside Britches this time using Mosaic Moon’s “October Morning” .yet again on BFL and more Tessa Ann buttons.  A rich chocolate this time. All of these and the Mosaic Moon “Spring Basket” Kieki Overalls will be stocked on Hyena cart with Little Trunks Knits next weekAnd a lesson learned,

The hard way!

I don’t think I’ll ever again forget the final rinse when dying wool.

I loved these!

I nearly cried when I pulled them out of the lanolin bath.  I’d forgotten they were soaking (I won’t tell you how long)

The purple ran. If I’d noticed it right away I could have rinsed them out but…they soaked to long and the dye is set.

So, If anyone wants a good deal on “knock around the house”  modified Bayside britches with button legs, let me know!

I’ll make you a good deal!

I even have buttons to sew on…I may cry while I do it but, It’s a mistake I won’t make again!

Finishing Friday! Button, Buttons, Buttons

What is it about finishing things!  I seem to have a block when it comes to adding those last ties or buttons that complete an outfit. I’ll knit all day but sew a button on? BLAH!!!!

  I’ve been sorting and reorganizing all my wool and have found quite a few items that just needed a few little details such as buttons….

A Small Bayside Britches in a Rainbow Marl, trimmed in red with blue buttons

Rainbow Dress, accent buttons and ribbon added

Bitty Bump Boy sweater in Blues…Poor thing just needed…..Buttons!

I love these sweaters.  I didn’t have bulky boy”ish” colors so It was knit with 3 strands of worsted

I did alter the pattern a bit & made the sleeves 2 inches or so longer. I also lengthened the body.

As you can see the sleeves are now long enough to extend its use thru fall to a light winter or, fold up and cuff as I have one sleeve. I had just enough left to make a little hat to coordinate.  It’s a fun little sweater that makes a perfect gift and tuck right in a diaper bag..

September Offer for Customs & Little Trunks Knits Stocking On Hold!

Due to a family emergency for Jennifer, the grand reopening for Little Trunks Knits is on hold. 

I know she would appreciate any good thoughts and prayers you send her way

So as an alternative, I’m offering 4 openings for customs.

Bayside Britches & Sleep Sacks & Thank You Knits!

First of all, A quick knit For Compost Boy who was a major help during recovery.  He was my fetch & carry kid.  He was also the tattle tale if I was doing something I wasn’t supposed to be doing.  So as a bribe to keep him quiet thank you for all his help, a pair of mitts for small hands. 

I think they were a hit as he sang me a song about how much he loves his mitts!Another Bayside britches completed.

Sold before it was completed!  Tessa Ann Buttons completed the outfit

A Sleep sack with matching hat set.  I love how easy these are to use.  I think it lasted 2 days in the Etsy shop

Right now I have another bayside britches on the needles, this one boyish.  Nice earth tones and mossy greens.  I should have it completed tonight. 

I’m also working on longies, small boys & small girls.

I do have a few open spots left this month for customs

On the Needles Bayside Britches & custom Longies!

One nice thing about having to slow down a bit, it gives me time for some play knitting 

The bad thing about it…it gives me time for play knitting!   A bit of a double edged sword……I just counted up and I have 14 items for stock on the needles.  Shorties, skirties, longies, overalls, sweaters & booties.  We won’t talk about what I have piled for buttons and those last ends simply waiting to be tucked in.

I’ve picked up quite a few new pattern licenses this past month and keep hopping from one to another excited to try them out with various yarns and colors combinations.  Time to put on my big girl panties and get some completed!.

Right now I’m working on a new pattern “Bayside Britches” from Little Trunks on Hyena cart.

Now a new favorite pattern, I know you’ll be seeing more of these!

I’m rummaging thru my TessaAnn Buttons to see what I have to match.

These should be in the shop this weekend!

I’m using a new to me dyer Happy Hands in “Juicy Melon” A nice DK weight

I love her color repeats and will be purchasing again!

Just off the needles  Custom Longies, they are surprise gift so I won’t say who they go to but

Knit on Cestari a YYMN in the colorway “Puppy Dog Tails” from

“Once in a blue Moon Baby” a fellow Etsian.

These are unblocked fresh off the needles.
