So many Colors & only 24 Hours in a Day!

 

I’ve been having so much fun playing with COLOR!!

Quite a few of the customs are completed and in the mail.

A sweet Pink & Chocolate Tunic and shorties.

I lucked out and found adorable little pink flower buttons to coordinate

Pastel Rainbow Shorties. 

The yarn is a licorice twist purchased from fellow Etisian Inspired Mama Makes It’s so nice and soft, great clear colors and consistent repeats. I went back and purchased a second skein to have on hand.

Her shop is currently closed & will be for a or a few more weeks as she is celebrating the birth of her new little one.

I’ve been knitting steadily on custom orders and need to slide a few in for the shop stocking!

One of the items I added is this pair of shorties as my entry to the Etsy Cloth Diaper Teams

June theme stocking of “High Seas”.  Deep ocean Teal with sea coral and little urchins.

I’ve been playing in the dye pot for a few custom orders and will have progress pictures up soon.

Knits are in the Mail!

Creek Side Shorties. 

One of my G/N color way's,  Soft ruffles added for a bit of a girly touch but,

  If the next child is a boy the ruffles can be re knit to standard cuffs

The Wool Soaker Sleep Gown I have been playing with for a while is done!

I’ve redone the neck and am happy with the results. 

The opening looks large but, has ribbing that draws it closed with out being tight about the neck

I’ve a few more in the works.  One is in a soft blue the other a light green.

These are a super soft mid weight wool, to be lanolized and used as a soaker. 

The bottom is ribbed as a sleep sack allowing easy access for those night time diaper changes!

I just listed a pair of Large Longies

The wool is Hand-dyed by fellow Etsian libertyfibers in the colorway Gray Pearl.

She has some wonderful color ways be sure and stop in! 

This is a great blend of blues, grays, a touch of taupe/brown & cream. Suitable for boys or girls.

Just completed is a Custom Tunic For Kale.

Pink trimmed in chocolate 

So I’m finishing chocolate shorties with pink trim to coordinate.

I should have these completed tonight and in the mail on Saturday.

Tomorrow I hope to list this tunic

I’ve had a few Mama’s ask for colors “other than pink”  & I think this fits the bill. 

Girly but not pink. 

I can’t decide if I’m going to add shorties or a little soaker…possibly a soaker as its 3-6 mo size. What do you think?

Custom “Bean Snuggler” Cocoon Is Ready For The Mail

One of my awesome customers sent me a few skeins of
“Spiced Cocoa” By Mosaic Moon to make a “Bean Snuggler” Cocoon & hat. Cocoons are great for snuggle time with your Baby Bean without the bulk of a blanket & make wonderful photo props.

Bean Sugglers can be made from wool or acrylic & will become a staple in the shop.  

I spent most of yesterday sorting the wool,  matching up colors & trims.  Over the next few days I’ll start listing the color-ways I have available for customs

I listed 3 more shorties in the shop last night Here is one pair, “Good Earth” on luscious BFL.

  and have a pair of boyish/GN longies in “Gray Pearl” on the needles now.

and will be casting on a custom Elizabeth Tunic this afternoon

I hope to have it ready to ship on Tuesday!

Cancun Babydoll & WIP

Just off the needles!

A Babydoll set knit in the Cancun Colorway for Katie

 

It’s been a while since I’ve knit with anything but wool or cotton but this was a fun knit.  To be honest I tried to talk the Mama out of pink bloomies and to go with the green but I’m glad she stood firm on her choices.  Its drying now and will be ready to ship tomorrow!

And another Elizabeth Tunic.  Newborn this time in Bold Pastels.

It just needs a button and will be listed in the shop.

Kalle’s Bean snuggler should be completed by this weekend. 

I love how the colorway is blending. Mosaic Moon yarns are wonderful for consistent repeats making it fairly easy to prevent excessive pooling.

I think I may have created a monster here

She knows what goodies the UPS man brings us…and within 30 minutes she had that box open.

She loved the skein of wool I gave her but what she really wanted

was the new Alpaca!

The Elizabeth Tunic & What’s on the needles!

OHH!  I just purchased licensing for the Elizabeth Tunic!  What is a cute and versatile garment!

Great as a summer top or dress but as the weather changes, pair it with a long sleeved top. 

I’m working on my third tunic.  The first was for Marguerita  knit in colors to match stripped longies.

I knit and shipped the tunic so quickly I didn’t realize I hadn’t taken better photos. This was a progress photo I’d sent her.

I’m hoping she’ll send a photo or 2 of the set

The 3rd is to be a stock item for the Etsy shop knit in my Hand-dyed “Watercolors”.

Its actually completed I just need to add the buttons…and take photos this time

Just listed in the shop are small shorties,  I call them “Mud Monkey”

The colors remind me of Isaiah “working” in the garden, covered in grass and dirt.

On the needles now…a YYMN custom “Bean Snuggler” for Kalle.

Using one of my favorite yarns, the ever popular Mosiac Moon in “Spiced Cocoa”.  I love how rich & vibrant their colors are.

I have a order in for 3-4 Mosaic Moon color ways that should ship to me soon which I will offer for customs.  OHH Fluffy mail!

Also in the works is a Babydoll set for Kate. 

For ease of laundering she requested machine washable yarns and choose bright cheerful summer colors The top,  paired with bloomers should be ready to ship by weeks end.

I also plan to have more shorties stocked this week so, if there are colors you need let me know!

Black Rainbow Skirties

The twins skirts are done!  Lanolized and drying right now. Lots of ends to weave with these but I think they turned out cute!

“Mixed Blues” Shorties,knit on a Cascade 220 base is  another custom ready for tomorrow mail.

I think I have enough left for a small to medium pair of longies

And a pair of small shorties with a soft ruffle cuff. 

Shades of purples and greens. I dyed this yarn last summer and just got a chance to use it.

These should be listed in the Etsy shop this evening. 

Currently on the needles is a tunic for Marguerita I should have finished in the next day or so.

More Fluffy Mail today!

After 4 days of rain and a washed out camping weekend, I was looking for a treat!

Alpaca!  I have a wonderful source for natural tone Alpaca through my LYS Grinny Possum Fiber Arts…

but I love color! And I’ve a few customers already planning on fall/winter longies so, I needed to start beefing up the stash with a broader  Alpaca color selection.  These (and other solids not shown) are a 50/50 blend of Wool & Alpaca.  A great combination with the sturdiness of wool with the warmth of the alpaca.  Wonderful rich jewel tones in this shipment, warmer tones are due in the next.

I also picked up some Araucania Nature Wool

Gorgeous rich & vibrant color combinations

I think I could pet these skeins for hours they are all so soft
